• Job offer in an eligible occupation NOC O, A, B, C, D.
• Currently working in the same eligible occupation (NOC 0, A, B, C, D) which relates to previous work experience.

• CLB 5 in English or French • CLB 7 in English or French for Nurse aides, and orderlies (NOC 3413).

• Work experience:

  • 12 months full-time in current occupation in AB in the last 18 months; or
  • 24 months full-time in current occupation in Canada and/or abroad in the last 30 months; or
  •  for PWGP holders, 6 months full-time in current occupation in AB in the last 18 months which relates to previous studies outside Canada.

• PGWP approved education programs: 1-year post-diploma/baccalaureate certificate, 2-year diploma, undergraduate bachelor's degree, graduate degree/certificate/diploma.

  • If enrolled in studies before 1/Apr/2019, 1-year certificate is also eligible.

Québec

Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program)
General Conditions

- You have respected the conditions of your stay;
- You intend to settle in Québec to hold a job;
- You are 18 years of age or older;
- You have knowledge of oral French equivalent to Level 7 on the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes (PDF 1.88 Mb) (in French);
- You are legally in Québec at the time of application;
- You are financially self-sufficient.

Conditions For Graduate Stream

- Have obtained an eligible diploma
- Have obtained eligible work experience in Québec following your study program
- Have stayed in Québec for at least half the duration of your study program
- You must have obtained your diploma:

  • In the 36 months preceding the submission of your application
  • In a full-time study program
  • In an education institution in Québec
Eligible diplomas
  • Bachelor’s degree (university undergraduate)
  • Master’s degree (including an MBA)
  • Ph.D.
  • Diploma of college studies, technical training (DCS)
  • Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) attesting to 1,800 hours or more of study
  • Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) followed by an attestation of vocational specialization (AVS) of 1,800 hours or more of continuing education leading to a given trade

*No other type of diploma is eligible for the PEQ.

Work experience (National Occupational Classification)

*The required work experience varies depending on the type of diploma you obtained.

If you have obtained a DVS of 1,800 hours or more of training, alone or with an AVS, you must have obtained work experience:

  • Of at least 18 months after the end of your study program
  • Full-time in a job at level 0, A, B or C of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) This hyperlink will open in a new window.

To be eligible, you must also hold a full-time job at one of the following NOC levels when you submit your application:

  • If your job is at level 0, A or B, it does not have to be related to your study program
  • If your job is level C, it must be related to the DVS you obtained in Québec. For more information, visit Inforoute This hyperlink will open in a new window.. Select the title of your study program from its directory and look for the Targeted professions section

For all other PEQ-eligible diplomas, you must have gained paid work experience after completing your study program:

  • Of at least 12 months
  • Full-time
  • In a job at level 0, A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) This hyperlink will open in a new window.
  • To be eligible, you must also hold a full-time job at the same NOC level 0, A or B when you submit your application. This job does not have to be related to your study program.

Work experience you acquired during a mandatory internship for your study program may be recognized. To do so, you must have received a work permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

  • For a full-time internship, your experience may be recognized for a maximum of three months.
  • For a part-time internship, the recognized period corresponds to its full-time equivalent.
  • Work experience that is not continuous can be considered in your application if it was full time.

You are not eligible for the PEQ if:

  • You have a bursary with a return to your country clause, unless you have already fulfilled this condition
  • You have started a new study program in Québec
  • You have stayed in Québec for less than half the duration of your study program.

Newfoundland & Labrador

Immigration Programs

- 21-59 years of age.
- Job / job offer related to studies at any NOC level.
- Completed at least half of studies in Canada.
- Graduated from a 2-year full-time eligible post-secondary degree/diploma in Canada.
- 1-year degree/certificate which requires a previous degree/diploma is eligible.
- If studies outside NL, 1 year of work experience related to studies.
- Must apply within 2 years after degree/diploma was granted.
- Have a PGWP
- Affidavit of employer or education documents to prove language ability for NOC O, A, B.
- If currently working in NL, unrelated to studies job is eligible at the time of application under certain conditions.
- WP must have 6 months remaining when applying.

• International Graduate Entrepreneur

- Job offer NOC C, D.
- Have worked in same position for 6 monthsimmediately prior the application with valid work permit.
- PGWP will be assessed to verify if Canadian education matches the required work experience.
- Sign a memorandum of understanding.

Prince Edward Island

- Graduated from a publicly funded PEI post-secondary institution.
- English and/or French ability to perform the job offered.

Nova Scotia

• International Graduate Entrepreneur

- 21+ years of age.
- Have completed a 2-year full-time diploma/degree in a NS university or Community College.
- CLB 7 in English or French.
- Reside in NS and hold a valid PGWP when applying.
- Start a new business or buy an existing one (33.33% ownership) in NS and actively managing it for at least 1 year before applying.
- Receive a salary from the business (meet the LICO as a minimum).
- When starting a new business, must create 1 full-time job (non-relatives).
- Submit an Expression of Interest.
- Attend an interview.

New Brunswick

Immigration Programs

• Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial

- 65 points pass mark.
- 22-40 years of age.
- Completed a 2-year full-time eligible post- secondary degree/diploma in NB.
- Have lived in NB during the entire academic program.
- CLB 7.
- Have owned (100%) and operated a business in NB for at least 1 year.
- Create 1 full-time job.
- Have a valid PGWP.
- Interview required.
- Commit to not selling the business for 3 years after receiving PR.
- Provide an Audit Opinion from a NB CPA.
